Nothing like some ice cream and a walk on the beach

Brooke & Michael went out for ice cream together on their first date. So of course, when we were planning their Watch Hill engagement session, I suggested that we add a stop at the St. Claire Annex Ice Cream & Sandwich Shop to our itinerary. I love it when we can incorporate a fun activity into engagement sessions. It gives couples a chance to warm up a little bit without having to feel the pressure of being “on” right away, and it allows them to have a little fun while just being themselves.

After ice cream, it was off to the beach! I love Napatree Beach in Watch Hill because of how wild it is. There are grassy dunes in addition to a beautiful sandy beach stretching on for what looks like forever. Plus there is a jetty which is great for both standing and sitting. Brooke and Michael got a chance to explore the beach together, run through a flock of seagulls and have a romantic walk in the sand before we headed back to Watch Hill.
