I was pregnant when we moved down to this part of the world, and so it’s no surprise that Sift Bake Shop in Mystic, CT immediately became a fan favorite at our house. At the time, we didn’t even realize that the owners, Ebbie & Adam Young, were actually our neighbors! The Youngs are an awesome family of four who own and operate Young Buns Doughnuts, Mix, Adam T. Young Hospitality and Adam T. Young Confections. Ebbie is an incredible mom, children’s book author, pickle-ball champ and a huge asset to our community. And in addition to being a fantastic dad, Adam is also known for winning the title of Best Baker in America in 2018 on the Food Network show of the same name, and for his role as guest judge on Chopped Sweets.

I was completely surprised and honored when Ebbie reached out to see if I could do their family photos this year. There are so many incredible locations to have a family photo adventure down here, and I was super excited when Ebbie told me she wanted to do them at the Seaside Beach Club in Westerly, RI. The retro feel of the club combined with the beautiful beach down below made it an ideal place for a family photography adventure session!

We couldn’t have asked for better weather! On the day of their family photography adventure session the sky was mostly clear and promising a beautiful sunset. The turquoise trim of the beach club was the perfect compliment to the girls’ pink dresses. We played around in the club and then later down on the beach as the sun began to set. Together we created a beautiful collection of traditional and candid family photographs that I hope they will treasure forever!
