(Get it? On fire? You know, cause Casey’s a Firefighter 😉 )
When Abby and Casey were deciding on a location for their engagement shoot, they ran into a snag. They had two beautiful locations in mind, both of which were important to them for different reasons. For me, the answer was simple; instead of choosing one location, we got to shoot at both!
Tuesday was a perfect representation of summer: clear, deep blue skies, a gentle breeze, and just hot enough to make you want to go for an afternoon dip. You couldn’t have picked a more beautiful day.
I am so grateful that I got to spend my afternoon with Abby and Casey. There were lots of funny stories and goofing around. There was even a little heart-to-heart at one point. But the most memorable thing for me was how awesome it was to document the way Abby and Casey love each other.
I’ve known Casey for a few years now, and I have NEVER seen him look at anyone the way he looks at Abby (frankly I’m tearing up a little bit just now thinking about it!). There is so much love in his face and I couldn’t be happier for him.
And really, when you get to know Abby, even a little bit, it’s no surprise that Casey has so much love and affection for her. I mean, come on. She is beyond kind, an elementary school teacher, she’s wicked fun to be around, and she loves her family so much. Aaaaaand, Abby is just generally all around beautiful, but on Tuesday pretty much the only thing more gorgeous than the afternoon itself was Abby – beachy waves flowing through her glossy chestnut hair, bright eyes and a brilliant smile that put even the summer sun to shame.
Together they were adventurous, affectionate, thoughtful and just plain in love. They were even awesome enough to turn up the steamy factor for me at the end of the day! (Come, on, don’t be bashful you two!)
Ok. I could go on and on but I’ve got to save something for the wedding next year! LOL. I loved working with these two and I cannot wait to be a part of their big day! Thank you two so much for putting your faith in me! XO
