Lots of people say they are marrying their best friend. But when it comes to Nicky and Neal – I truly believe it.
I have known N&N for a few years as an “occupational hazard” of being around the Worcester adult kickball scene (yes, that’s a real thing). But it is only now that I am beginning to experience who they are as a couple. One of the things that has struck me most about them is the way they make decisions together. As a team. For real.
Whether we are talking about a significant life choice, or just trying to decide which appetizer to get at Zorba’s, N&N show a courtesy, respect and true concern for one another’s feelings and needs. They are both incredibly fun and compassionate people, and when you are around them, it is easy to see why they are together.
Nicky and Neal will be married in less than 3 months on the front face of Mount Wachusett. With that (and Neal’s affinity for windmills) in mind, we trekked up the backside of Wachusett for their engagement shoot. Up the Harrington Trail we went, unsure of exactly what we would find when we got up there. As it turned out, we had the whole place to ourselves. N&N popped the cork on a bottle of champagne and I tried to just let them be. The sunset was to die for, and we soaked up every last bit of the setting sun.
What we got from their session was magic. When I look at their photos I can really feel the love and dedication they share (for each other and for Mookie, woof!). I am so grateful for the time that I have spent with N&N, and incredibly humbled that I will be with them on their wedding day.
Congrats Nicky & Neal! I’m so excited for your big day!
